Subject: An important project for our Church
Hi,
I came across this important program, and I think it is critical that our church participates: https://lightupthechurch.org/
In short, to commemorate the Holocaust which started on “Kristallnacht” – the Night of Broken Glass – on November 9, 1938, synagogues and churches all over the world will keep their lights on on Thursday night, November 9, 2023, to stand in solidarity with the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust.
Light Up The Church is a way of showing love to the Jewish people and that we, the church, are to be a light in the darkness. It would demonstrate our love and support for the Jews today in light of the recent, alarming rise of anti-semitism.
In commemoration of this terrible night, let us shine our light together with the synagogues, proclaiming that darkness will never overcome the light. If we were silent once, we don’t have to remain so today. Blessed be our elder brother.
Please register our church for this important project!
